Dr. Simmons was raised in a small town in Michigan. He is married to Vanessa and they have four children. Dr. Simmons graduated from Palmer College, Davenport in 1999. His class voted him “Most likely to build a shrine to ‘BJ’”—an early innovator of chiropractic. He has fulfilled that title. His collection includes over four sets of the original green books and several original portable adjusting tables and an original knee chest table from the 1900’s.
After graduation in 2000, Dr. Simmons and his wife opened Simmons Specific Chiropractic in Midland, Michigan. Dr. Simmons believes in staying active on several committees within the Midland and Chiropractic community. He is extremely involved with the Chiropractic Profession by supporting the Chiropractic conventions across the state of Michigan.
He has been a Palmer College of Chiropractic Presidents Club member since March 2003. His passion for chiropractic care has also taken him to Washington Hill to participate in the Light for Patient’s Rights for their Health Care.
He has a love for the chiropractic profession, and he considers his patients to be a part of his chiropractic family. He does whatever it takes to supply his patients with the best form of chiropractic to ensure optimum health.
Dr. Simmons has his post doctorate training in Knee Chest Upper Cervical Technique. He is proud to offer this technique for patients that would benefit from the use of it.

Dr. Raina Broadstone loves bringing chiropractic to the masses and helping get sick people well by providing compassionate, quality care for every patient from babies to geriatrics and everyone in between! She is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa—the fountainhead of chiropractic, and she is a proud member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors.
While in attendance at Palmer College, Dr. Broadstone was involved with various clubs including Motion Palpation Club, Pediatrics Club, Animal Chiropractic Club, and Palmer Humanist Club. Dr. Broadstone and her husband became pregnant while she was enrolled in the Doctor of Chiropractic program and delivered her baby boy during finals week of 4th trimester. She is proud of the fact that she was able to continue her studies with the support of her husband and classmates, and she went on to complete the DC program on schedule with her colleagues.
Having a child also bolstered her passion and desire to work with families and young babies and children, and this excitement to bring health to the youngest among us has sparked her passion to pursue certifications in Pediatrics as well as Webster’s technique and more in the near future.
Dr. Broadstone is a Texas transplant living in Michigan. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, fishing, hunting, riding, and chasing her young sons around the farm.

I don’t know what I would do without Simmons Specific Chiropractic. The doctor is great and relieves the pain in my head, neck, jaw, shoulders and hips. They are the best chiropractor I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend their facility.
